Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

In short: your birth data, check-ins and everything you add to Cosmic Day stays on your device — there is no Cosmic Day server and no account to create. The exceptions are the ads that keep the app free (which use Google's ad SDK and its own consent tools) and an optional AI chat feature you have to turn on yourself with your own API key. Both are explained in full below.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Cosmic Day mobile app (iOS and Android), published by Mehdi ("we", "us"). Contact details are on the Support page.

2. Data that stays on your device

When you use Cosmic Day, the app stores the following locally on your device only, using standard on-device storage (Apple's / Android's local app storage). None of it is transmitted to us — we don't operate a server for it, and we can't see it:

Deleting this data is built into the app: Settings → Your data → Delete my data removes everything immediately. Uninstalling the app also removes it, since nothing is kept anywhere else.

3. Ads (Google AdMob)

Cosmic Day shows banner, native, interstitial and rewarded ads through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) to keep the app free. To serve and measure ads, Google's SDK can collect and process:

Ads never see your birth chart, check-ins or anything else you enter into Cosmic Day — the app doesn't pass that data to AdMob.

Your consent choices:

Google's own policies govern what it does with this data: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses data in ads.

4. Optional AI chat (your own API key)

Cosmic Day's "Ask Your Chart" feature works fully offline by default. If you choose to add your own Anthropic API key in Settings, the app will send your computed astrology facts (planet positions, aspects — never raw birth data) and your chat messages directly from your device to Anthropic's API, so a language model can word the answer. Anthropic is told, by the request itself, never to compute or invent positions — only to phrase what the app already calculated. This only happens if you've added a key; nothing is sent otherwise. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle that data.

5. What we don't do

6. Children's privacy

Cosmic Day is a general-audience app and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided data through the app, contact us via the Support page and we'll help you remove it — though since almost everything lives only on the device itself, deleting it locally (Settings → Delete my data) is usually enough.

7. Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you're always in direct control of it: view it, change it, or delete it any time in the app itself. If you're in the EEA, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar rights (such as under GDPR or CCPA), you also have rights over the data Google's ad SDK processes on Google's own systems — Google's privacy policy explains how to exercise those directly with Google. For anything else, reach us via the Support page.

8. International data transfers

Because Google and (if you enable it) Anthropic operate globally, ad-related data and, if applicable, chat requests may be processed in countries other than your own. Both companies publish their own safeguards for international transfers in the policies linked above.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Cosmic Day after a change means you accept the update.
